Our security policy
Your personal and payment details are captured online using industry-standard 128-bit Secure Socket Layer technology, which encrypts all information to make it secure. This is controlled by our payment partner Secpay. Credit card information is held on Secpay's system in encrypted form and cannot be accessed by The Little Beer Company.
We strongly advise that you keep your password secret at all times. If you believe that somebody may have found out your password you should change it immediately. Alternatively, contact us and we can suspend your account.
At The Little Beer Company we take fraud prevention extremely seriously. For your protection, when processing your order our payment partner will take all appropriate measures to validate your card details.
Our privacy policy
The Little Beer Company has always held a customer database, and we have
never given the details to anyone else.
Customers who shop with us can choose to be added to our e-letter which we
send out every 2 months, together with other relevant information on our
seasonal promotions. We do not release information to third parties. You
have the option not to be included on the mailing list.
We are committed to protecting your privacy. We will only use the information that we collect about you lawfully in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998 and Directive on Privacy and Electronic Communications 2003.
We collect information about you for 2 reasons: firstly, to process your order and second, to provide you with the best possible service.
We will not email you in the future unless you have given us your consent in accordance with the Directive on Privacy and Electronic Communications 2003. We will give you the chance to refuse any future marketing email from us. The type of information we will collect about you includes:
- Your name
- Address
- Phone number
- Email address
- Credit/debit card details (via our payment partner)
- Your past orders
We will never collect sensitive information about you without your explicit consent. The information we hold will be accurate and up to date. You can check the information that we hold about you by contacting us. If you find any inaccuracies we will delete or correct it promptly.
The personal information which we hold will be held securely in accordance with our internal security policy and the law. In the unlikely event that we intend to transfer your information outside the EEA (European Economic Area) we will always obtain your consent first.
We may use technology to track the patterns of behaviour of visitors to our site. This can include using a 'cookie' which would be stored on your browser. You can usually modify your browser to prevent this happening. However, please note that this may affect the successful functioning of the site. The information collected in this way can be used to identify you unless you modify your browser settings.
